Brindle most Police depts. Want multiple purpose dogs...they believe they can get good enough tracking results out of a malamar.. Haha jokes on them...documented cases of hounds trailing 3 week old trails...trailing a person that was in an automobile across 3 state lines...oldest trail I did was 10 days old...try to teach a BH to bite or attack doesn't work to well...BH only dog who's ID of a person admisable in court..If memory serves me right line ep has to have 11 suspects in it for a hounds ID to be admisable..there ate still states around that use the but not many...mass has a pretty large quantity of working BH's...use to go up to Douglas mass about once a month to train with the PD..couple of my fogs officers there...blew out 3 discs in my back and had a heart attack had to give up working hounds.. Chickens more my speed now..lol

Anyone want to sell me some jersey giant eggs that I could pick up at the meet? I hatched a bunch out a while back and sold them all.

Uh, in this person's opinion, a lot of police depts want tough dogs, at least down here. I think bite work is more important to them than scent work of any kind - at least down here. Sadly dogs of any kind are under utilized in police departments and law enforcement in general nowadays, which is really sad. Lots of bad training can cause lots of bad problems. Sounds like they are more open minded about it in your area.

It is funny the attitude people that don't understand training have about dogs.

Bummer about having to give training. Do you keep a BH around?
