UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

Wow ! Looks like all had a great time !
Made it home by 1 am...7 hours made good time
Nat... WOW!!! What a great time!!!! Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome..everyone had a great time!! The kids wanted to stay again last night...we were only a few miles down the road when I heard "is nat having another chickenstock? Can we all go again next time?" Nothing better than raising kids country style!! Had a blast with Mark, well the parts I remember anyway!! lol...he's a good dude please thank him for opening his home up to us and showing us a great time!!! Kathy said to make sure I thanked both of you from her as well..she had a good time too..The food was awsome! Especially the baked ziti and sausage!
PC I know you were cuddling up with that beautiful white ball of fluff on the ride home!!

You knew you could have stayed another night-Brindle and John did They just left about 1/2 hour ago :-( We ate ziti and meatballs and sausage for dinner last night again ..haha A ton of food left that I already cooked-Tell Kathy I said heyyyy and make sure you ask the boys about missing a jacket as I have one here???

It was great meeting everybody yesterday and putting faces with names!
Nat, thank you so much for putting up with all of us at your home. You were so warm and sweet in greeting, and handled the entire day like a champ! I'm exhausted for you! The burgers and ziti were fantastic. I told my DH to be sure to pick up our "stuff" (ie blue cooler, spatula, brownie pan, and football tray) and he grabbed the loaves of bread and scones I wanted everyone to take home! What a goof. Thank you for the last minute duck eggs...they go in the bator today. Do we know what kind they are, or just a favorite backyard something-something? The "Christopher Walken" naked neck roo is so cool. I can't wait to show him off and put him with some girls. The White Orps are beautiful and HUGE! Thank you.
Bob...Fausto is AWESOME. The ride home was hilarious. He had 2/3 of the entire back seat and decided the best spot was on my son's lap! At one point Andrew couldn't get him off of him, and he said "forget it, I'll just enjoy the view out of my window!".
What a trooper. Called the vet's this morning...Fausto goes in for a pre-surgery screening tomorrow at 8 in the morning...the nuggets must be removed! Thank you for my beautiful lil' silkies! The lav is awesome!
Gretchen...I'm so glad I decided to jump into the world of polish. They are hilarious. The silkie and showgirl roos are beautiful. Can't wait to introduce them to some girls. I loved your shelving idea...I'm going to have to use that for the next swap!
I don't know how my lil' bantam buff cochin roo escaped the processing demo and came home to Waterville yesterday! I meant to give him to PC to process. Lil' bugger.
Kristen and Karen...I'm trying to refrain from opening every single jar of jams and jellies and sampling them all today! So tempting...they look delicious! Thank you!!!
Kristen...I am thrilled my little "Sweet-Sweet" easter egger hen gave you your very first blue egg...at the swap!

Karen...how cute were you to switch the pink egg cartons you won in the raffle with the gray ones my daughter won!? Thank you! She is a girlie-girl and loves pink. Thanks for taking the Blue Copper Roo!
Mary...the lav roo and lil' brahma are awesome. After quarantine lil' one will have a bunch of friends to be with.
Jer...thank you for helping load up my birds in their cages at the end of the day....my back was toast! Much appreciated. And I still don't know how to say d'uccles! (Right Erin?!

Looks like this is the only "big girl" Chickenstock for me. The kids are already hounding me about going to the next one! What a great time. Nat thanks again for having us, and please thank your sister-in-law for the accommodations. It was great to meet such a cool group of people and I look forward to seeing you all again=)
