I thought I would check this thread before leaving again, and I'm glad I did!
Muggs, I just wanted you to know that Fay, the young Buff Am hen we got from you, layed us a lovely blue egg and is doing very well! No health issues whatsoever! I'm so sorry you are having birdy health problems!
If Fausto can't hold himself and didn't have issues before - crate him when you aren't home and crate him at night. Treat him like you are house training a puppy. Sometimes when dogs change houses they don't realize they need to not pee in the new house. When he can't be under your direct observation, he needs to be crated. When you say "it is like a horse peeing in the house", I expect that means he pees a large volume? Is he being let out frequently enough? If you are house training, he needs to be let out every 1/2 hour or so, just to be sure he relieves himself outside. When you come home after he has been crated and first thing in the morning - he goes outside with somebody to make sure he relieves himself outside before he can come back inside. You may need to go to a feeding and watering schedule, to help him control himself. You may need to start adding water to his kibble, so he isn't so thirsty after eating. There are lots of things you can do to get this under control, so don't get too stressed about it - just try to prevent the accidental peeing instead of dealing with it's aftermath. keep a sharp eye on his behavior, because once he understands he needs to pee outside, he will let you know by specific body language.
