My Golden I chose to die at home in my own hands. I will never regret that decision and would do it again in a NY minute. I held her tight for 1/2 a day.....and she knew I was there sending her off. I've done that 3 times now. I currently have 2 dogs now at ages 7 and 8.... I will also honor them the same way.
It is always a difficult decision to have to make..... but we need not be selfless.
After all....animals do have a sense of dignity. I firmly believe that. Again, my condolences....
