Urgent dog costume help!!

I am walking my dog in a parade on the 8th of Aug. The theme is proud to be an a Amercian. Do you think me as Rosie the riveter and my lab as uncle sam will work?

My question is how to make the hat, and goatee for him and how to make it stick.


Im going to wear jeans, brown shoes and a long sleeve jean shirt with a red and white banada. He is going to be wearing a blue coat with a white front and red bow tie, and the hat with white hair sticking out and if possible the goatee. We are gonna work the judges too. Im gonna have him sit and wave at them. I really want to win this. Ive never won anything so i really want this.

They both sound really cute. Although I would think that considering the theme there may be a lot of Uncle Sam Dogs. Here's a question and a thought. Wasn't Rosie the one represented to make planes? If that's correct why not dress your dog as a plane from that time to match with Rosie. It might be a little easier than trying to figure out that beard.

To be honest this is the world tiniest parade. It two blocks long. I was thinking of having him go as George Washington or Abe Lincoln. But uncle Sam fits with Rosie better. Most people ride horses and don't go very far out with their costumes. Theres gonna be a ton of people with painted stars on their horses butts and lots of red white and blue shirts and steamers. Im more then likely going to have the only dressed up dog.
