Hey everyone. I have five duck eggs, and four have hatched, but I'm getting pretty concerned with the last one. It sort of looks like there was a broken shell that fused to his? I'm hoping not to have to help him, but I'm worrying that we might have no other choice, because he seems stuck, and the other ducklings keep pushing egg shells onto him, but I'm not sure that I can move the ducklings to the brooder yet because they still look wet.

You can't really see the fused shell in this picture because another shell is blocking, but these are the best I could do:

I just saw this, hooray for the update, but I would have said ducklings take a long time to zip fully and hatch. Leave it be until you know for certain it needs help and is done absorbing everything (blood, intestines, and yolk).

Congratulations on a successful hatch! Ducklings are always so cute.
