since about 6 last night till now, we had a duckling who was hatching. In the past, when the shell starts to dry around the chick we peel it off. iT'S SAVED SEVERAL LIVES, AS THIS CONDITION KILLS. I did so for our ducky and she was fine. i just had to help her hatch all the way. she was very close, but her head was in the wrong postion and the shell was drying to her eyes and face area. Now she is calmly sleeping and struggling to stand and move about. She has a smallish , bellybutton like mark right on her squishy little belly. what is this? Isshe going to die?
