I just found out that there is a park in the city of Turlock with 100 ducks and 50 geese and the city there is planning on auctioning them off. Carolina Waterfowl is trying to get a rescue going because these ducks are, most likely, going to be auctioned for meat. They are very friendly and eat from people's hands. Someone loved them, once.
They've tried other rescues in the area and got no response. If you want to help, contact Jennifer Gordon at Carolina Waterfowl. Even if you can only take a few, that would be great.
