Urgent help needed - inner membrane seperating

Urgent! My duck eggs are 24 hours in lockdown and as I have no idea of the time they will take, quickly candled a couple this eveniing. The air cells seem to be massive, one is from end to end of the egg. It is obviously serperating from the shell membrane. Ducks are all still live, plenty of movement. I am tempted to open one shell to see what is going on - humidity is plenty high enough, but I really don't want to lose these to shrink wrapping. I am still maybe 2 days from hatch date, but am confident that they will probably go early anyway, they are mutt eggs and have seemed large for date all through incubation. Is it worth opening the really huge air celled one?

I know I should really. It won't hatch without help though, there's no way it can turn. Will stick them fat end up in cartons for hatching I think, at least give the ducklings a chance to turn in the eggs. Shoot, was hoping to not to have to do that.

If you are 2 days to hatch date, you should leave them alone. Lots can happen in 2 days. I close the incubator and just see what happens in the next couple of days. Even if you decide that you have to help, I wouldn't do that before the hatch date and then still caution against it.

I am a fairly experienced hatcher at this point, just not with waterfowl. I can hear tapping so will wait until tonight and see (is now 1pm here). I can see this being a mega helping hatch

Well after hearin gpeeping from the bator earlier, but with no external pips, I will pop one of the very dodgy looking ones tonight, just a small hole in tht top so I can see. My bator holds fabulous humidity, and I know once I start I'm up all night until the job is done, but I'll get my kit ready and settle down to do it once my lo has gone to bed. So muc for going out to hubbys gig and enjoying a few beers while he sings...
