Egg below I believe is underdeveloped? Currently at day 39 and no sign of pipping internally, still has plenty of veins but is always moving so I know it’s alive.
my temps have all ran the same throughout the incubation but a few spots of no power where I’ve taken them to a friends house, at most half hour out of incubation a week. My humidity has been a bit on the high sign (it’s incredibly difficult I’ve found to get it down here as I’m in the tropics) he’s still super active so I’m confused on why it’s taking this long to pip? Pictures below (the second picture shows the space at the bottom of the egg)

What was the set date? What species is this? Also, what were your temperatures, did you confirm them with a calibrated thermometer, and is your incubator still air or forced air?

set date was 6th of october
Species is Muscovy
Temp was 99.5 also checked with calibrated thermometer.
And it’s a still air

Set date of the 6th makes today the 37th day. So a couple days late. The temperature in a still air should be 101.5 measured at the top of the eggs, so your temperature has been low, which would explain the delayed development.

Still airs can also have pockets that are hotter or colder. This egg might have been in a cold spot, too.

So at this point, all there is to do is wait, and see if it hatches. I'd increase the temperature to the correct 101.5, though.

Yeah, Idk. I agree with Pyxis, there's nothing you can do right now. I'm assuming that it's in a cool spot. I had that happen once before, one of my mallards didn't hatch until day 32, it was in a spot that was actually 97 degrees. And it was one of my first hatches so I didn't know to rotate the eggs. He made it just fine. I wish you luck. Fingers crossed. Keep us posted.
