Urgent! Help sick rooster

I have a friend that I gifted a rooster; he was completely healthy, had his shots; after a month I came to visit (he didn't have space so he caged him) and he's really sick I have no idea what he has and what to give him or if he could make it. Please help, I'm posting a pic.

Looks like a nasty case of fowl pox. Looks like the dry form.

It's a virus transmitted by mosquitoe bites, it usually will run it's coarse over about a few weeks. Can linger in the flock for months. Birds that get infected get natural immunity to the virus, & can't get it again.

Can he be given anything to aliviate the symptoms?

As it has affected his eyes already, your friend should make sure to feed him by hand or even learn how to tube feed him as he might no longer be able to find water and feed on his own.
Providing scrambled eggs and vitamins is important.
