so i am on day two in a nurter right 360 and i opened bout 45 minutes ago cause an egg was stuck but my humidity is at 32 will the egg be all right i am trying to get it up help

For humidity it is the average that counts. Since you're on day two it shouldn't have had any negative effects so far. If you have a calibrated hygrometer so you know your humidty is that low, you can add a sponge or a small jar with water.

PS. Some people do "dry" hatches, but 32% is slightly on the low side also for this I think.

Whoa, slow your roll and take a deep breath before your scramble cracks up dear chicken friend! :)

Everything is okay even if you open the lid EVERY day from now until lock down. Humidity does NOT have to be one constant number. Nor does the temperature.. In nature a hen usually leaves the nest for 10-15 minutes each day so she can grab a bite to eat, relieve herself, and maybe get a quick dirt bath.. They judge the weather and time it some.. Each time you check the eggs is just like this. Letting that other egg stay stuck could have caused all kinds of havoc, GREAT job making the right choice.

Now when it IS important not to have the humidity drop from opening the lid is around day 20 and 21 when there are EXTERNAL pips/zips already.. that is when they are in danger of "shrink wrapping".

Usually every time you open your lid your temperature and humidity will drop for a short while. The eggs do not drop THAT far in temperature.. both temp and humidity will likely return to their previous point in less than 15 minutes.

If you need more humidity.. then you will want to add water to you A channel.. Mine dries out about every 2 days.. and COMPLETELY dry with NO water in the wells, runs around 29-32%. When I fill the first channel, it goes to about 49-52% in the NR360. So you will want to top up that well channel a bit daily or every other day. Darker colored eggs can afford lower humidity. 45% is a good AVERAGE.. meaning a little higher or lower for a period of time should NOT cause issues regardless of shell color.

You might consider joining one of the hatch along threads, they can be hugely informative, helpful, exciting, and encouraging.. maybe even calming!

Happy hatching! :jumpy:jumpy

thank you so much it has gone up now i just paniced

it will go up within a minute every time and it will drop to 30% or below every time you open the incubator.
Welcome to the world of incubating. There will be a lot more OMG mments like it but its worth getting some chicks. Not for the faint hearted at best of times though.

its my first time and on day 2 and a hafl and freaked out 4 times already

It's less nerve racking with each hatch. I love the nuture right 360. It's very stable and easy to use. My last incubator had constant temp and humidity fluctuations. I just put my batch on lockdown, but I ran my incubator near dry, around 25-30% from day 14-18. The air sacks were too small at my 14 day candling, so I needed to dry things so they could get to the proper size. One tip is to mark the air sack with a pencil when you candle. That way, you can make sure they are the correct size. They don't need to be all exactly the same, just close. Good luck and post pics when they hatch.
