Urgent: Need removal of membrane instructions

yep-- sounds like your incubator is off in temp or humidity. If it's too dry the membrane gets tough and the chicky gets stuck in there. I had one that was stuck and helped it out, and it seemed all good for a day, then died.

It's hard to resist helping them out though!!
 
Here are my babies pictures. The older one is the one I posted the emergency for. The tiny one I helped out on 10/14 after it was 3 days late and piped. The tiny one is a Giant Jersey, and the older one is a BR.

If the chick can't hatch itself it isn't strong enough to survive. I learned this lesson a long time ago when I was hatching chickens, ducks, quail, and geese using Rose Colored Glasses.
