URGENT: Need to determine sick 4 wk old chick issue... (video included)

this is a 4 1/2 week old chick at this point. what's the likelihood it could drown?
also i have a watering bottle that i think must be specifically designed for little chicks. the trough is maybe about 1/2" wide.

i have one chick in this latest round now that has the curled in toe syndrome. I saw something somewhere about making some little chick sandals for it so I guess that's the next project right after I see if i can't help any of the eggs that didn't hatch into the world.
I do it just to be safe. It can be difficult for a hobbled chick to upright itself sometimes...better safe than sorry!!!! And YES...I had t do the chick sandals too. It also worked very quickly to straighten out the toes. There are several different ways to make them...I found the info on this site. Just make sure you check the toes every day, do not wrap to tight and I used the fabric sensitive band aides to attach to the toes. Also make sure you adjust the sandal for foot growth....it happens fast!!! You wanna do the sandal and hobble ASAP...younger you start the higher the success. Mine was one day old and sandal corrected the toes in 3 days...hobble was a couple of weeks.

If the chicks have been raised on slippery newspaper they can develop splayed legs, give them a rough surface and it may cure.

Very likely. With a hobble on it's feet, it could trip and land in the water and not be able to get it's balance in time to get back out. It happens all the time. But! If you use a water system (water bottle thing) they you're safe!

Keep us updated on your chick!!!!

Here is that chick today.

I still kinda suspect he's got some issues.

Also he's the only one with that colour of beak which is interesting. (at least i think it's a he)

but the leg thing seems to be mostly better now.

Floppy (my screwy legged chick) is "special" today too. A little slower on the uptake then the others (and I don't mean physically).

Glad everything worked out! I hope she gives you lots of eggs!

I don't know what kind she is (I'm new to all this as of may haha)

But she looks like a she to me.

Red comb, but not very developed for her age (comparing her to mine)
