This is my first time using and incubator and the eggs are at day 23. Yesterday I noticed something really strange. It looks like in all the eggs the baby ducks are rubbing against membrane, but I’m not sure. I was wondering what to do because these guys look like they wanna come out. Do I go into lockdown two days early will not turning them for an extra two days hurt the duck embryos inside? Is this an internal pip I scared away with the light? I’m just worried these guys are going to come out with deformities because my incubator could of been running too hot. Or that they will be pre mature and die. If anyone has any expertise it would be much appreciated. Have a wonderful day!

Are you sure they are on day 23? When did you set them?
Very sure I put them in May 10th. Now one has fully pipped internally and is leaving bruises against the shell where it wants out. I did put in a safety hole this morning to be safe since I don’t know officially how long it internally pipped so I didn’t know when it would suffocate.

Yes one gave me a chirp today and all the eggs move. I know my incubator ran hot the first two weeks so I’m guessing there’s a good chance I’ll have a couple extra toes on one or two but hopefully nothing debilitating.
Keep us updated! Did any hatch yet?
