How is he doing??Hey there! Adding to the thread.. I’m confident our rooster has a prolapsed vent. I’ve dealt with one of our ducks having it before and she turned out just fine, but this is obviously different. I wish I had caught it sooner, but I figured it was just his poopy butt coming back, his ‘butt feathers’ are just so long and fluffy they just kinda get in the way so I trim them every now and then. As I was trimming this afternoon I realized how bad it was. His vent is just covered in poo but he doesn’t seem uncomfortable, it smells really bad though. I will try soaking him in the morning and try the honey and prep h if we have it. Is there anything else I should try? I want to help any others who are struggling with this. Culling is possible but I want to avoid that as best that I can. He’s a great rooster and he means a lot, I’d like to keep him aroundas long as I can.
