Urgent!! Something is wrong with my hens!!

Okay so of my older Phoenix hens was walking around all crouched down and making this really loud like calling noise. It was high pitched and weird. She would stop and then sit down and keep calling. She wouldn't leave the tall grass and just sat there.

Have you checked to see if her eye sight is ok? Also sounds kind of like coccidiosis,maybe try some Corid..

She's stopped after about 30 mins. and is just fine. Maybe she's fixing to start laying?

Oh that is certainly possible, if this is her first than yes they sometimes act funny..I love pheonix's they are so attractive. I only have one a golden pheonix hen. Do you breed?

Yes it's her first time. Yes I will be breeding once I can get my hens and rooster away from the other roosters. Right now they'd be having mixed breed chicks. I love the Phoenix breed too. My little rooster's saddle feather are barely touching the ground and his tail feathers have already reached about a foot to a foot and a half.

Oh how awesome. I really want a roofor my hen or even a couple more to add to my bunch. I hope she shows you an egg soon and settles down, although she may hide it somewhere you may have to go on an egg hunt

Luckily a chicken yard with just tall grass to hide eggs in. I hope she will either nest in the hay or claim a nest box like my other hen did. And you know it's theirs because they are NOT HAPPY at all when another hen uses it.
