Hi everyone, i have a slight problem... i put 8 eggs under a hen, due to a reason i put the 8th one after 3 days, so now 7 eggs have hatched and the 8th one still needs incubation, but because the others have grown 3 days old, so now the hen does not sit on the 8th one, at least not in front of me or when i am present and remains busy with others.

So will she sit on that 8th egg, as the chick is still alive in the egg and probably 2 3 days away from hatching, saw via candling?

She will not. You will most likely have to figure out a way to keep it warm at the correct temperature in an incubator.

The hen needs to ensure the survive of the chicks that made it, teaching them to eat and drink. Anything unhatched is a non-priority, even if the egg is good and viable. Even if she did sit out the extra three days, she would have likely abandoned the last chick as it would be a lot less mobile than the others and a liability.
