US Postal Question

Though I haven't ordered chicks, my postal people let me schedule my deliveries and pick-ups through the website. We're still a good 10 miles from the closest PO, but they've called me on large packages (or postal lady drives a tiny pick up truck) to ask if I could just pick up. They call pretty early in the morning

We're in a town that was recently annexed by a larger town (IN ANOTHER COUNTY then us?!) But what the town WAS only had about 500 people. So they also recently switched our post office to the larger town's main hub. Not sure what things were like before that, we moved here about a year after that.

Most PO people, especially in rural areas, are most accommodating. Our two ladies who run our small PO even let us come in and pick up stuff on Saturday mornings when they are officially closed. And they will do all kinds of favors like opening early, staying later. Of course, we sweeten them up from time to time with special treats. They will even call us if there's something special because we don't go to our box every day. So, it's all about relationships!!
Cheers.
