USDA monitoring this forum?

I got a call today from an insurance company that I don't use. I didn't answer it and they also left a very brief message with no explanation.
I image they're watching this forum also. This is all I do when online so its the only way they could of found me.

I love when they call me to get insurance on my SUV. I always talk to the agent. He asks,"What kind of car do you drive?" I say a Mustang. Then they ask what year. I say 1964 1/2 Candy Apple Red Black vinyl roof. They always hang up right then. HMMMMM??? I gotta look up the Edsel and see what years they were made. LOL

You could have ran a reverse number search to find out if it really was from them or not.

And paid money to find out. I did find out who's calling from Egypt. Empire Flooring. I've never used them. Don't know why they are calling me.

I know there are lots of scam calls these days. The message left for me was not a computer but a real person. (unless it was a cyborg from the terminator maybe?) I am not on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. Like Moonshiner noted, this is like the only post/forum platform that I am on which made me wonder if they 'found me' this way? Or, is there some other reason someone from the USDA called me. I do have an Agriculture degree but man that's like going back nearly 30 years.....

The government will not call you. If they need to contact you it will be by mail.

If it ain't in writing it definitely didn't come from them.

They only call you back...rarely...in my experience. But if it's a legit government inquiry, you'd receive a letter as first contact.

Social Security called me recently.

True, but that's a little different, they do have call centers.

You can always call the USDA, or whoever, on a legitimate phone number, and ask. We get scam calls often, and they can be so sincere. Today one from California, saying they were some police charity. Right. hang up immediately, and block the number.
