Use of ornamental grass cuttings for bedding

I can't imagine why this wouldn't be safe but that's why I'm posting it. I just cut down nearly a dozen ornamental grasses for the winter. Can I use this material in the coop for bedding and the next boxes?

So long as they haven't been sprayed with insecticide I see no problems at all there.

Nope, they aren't sprayed with anything!! Awesome! I have like 3 giant lawn/leaf bags full of it.
