Used egg cartons.....?

I reuse egg cartons all the time.....
....but I only sell to a half dozen friends and they keep them clean.

Are you selling to the public?
If you are, then check your laws as biodarwin suggests.
Just tack the price of the carton on the to egg price.
I know I could just add it to the egg price, but I could make up to 50 cents more a carton if I reused them, or bought from China.

I am hoping to sell to the public. It is illegal to sell uninspected eggs to restaurants and businesses here.
I am getting a quote from China at the moment, The egg cartons I want are pulp, 12 egg cartons.

Please help, my mind is not working.
2000 egg cartons are at maximum 3 cents each. I keep figuring out that would cost $600, but that is "only" $400 less than Alberta's 50 cent cartons. Do they cost $60 for 2,000?
2000*.03 = $60.00 Sounds like a bargain to me!

Here you can reuse cartons and sell in them but you have to do it from your property. You have to get new cartons if you're selling to a market.
Makes sense, I wonder if you can even reuse cartons if giving them back to the same customer?

Here in AZ, the rule says no re-using egg cartons, you have to have your own name on them. I see people selling in our farmers market ignoring this all the time. I have looked at the small lot egg cartons, and .50 is too much. .03 would be do-able!

Good to know. If you're interested, go to Alibaba.com. :D Pulp egg cartons are from a lot of different businesses, $0.03 was the cheapest I could find.

Hello! I was wondering what you all think of re-using egg cartons. I am planning on selling eggs, and wow, egg cartons are expensive. Unless I bought 1,000-10,000 egg cartons from China, I would want to re-use egg cartons. What do you think of this?
I think that since the eggs will probably be cooked, as long as the carton is visibly clean it doesn't matter.

Another thought: Maybe if somebody is a regular customer, and they give back cartons, I could give them back ONLY the cartons they gave me?

Thanks!
we do this regularly here in AZ all my eggs stores take back the egg cartons & its worked out great..! but yes if your buyer brings you their carton use it...! why not , but first check on local laws,
