Now if I can just get a pic that is in jpg format to upload for an avatar I would be set..have tried everthing and no go..

Using non alpha numeric characters in usernames is usually discouraged. The forum will support it for the most part, but it can potentially cause issues with things like chat, page creation tool, etc.

I like the little ~ thingy's, I think they are cute, but if it causes a problem, then go ahead and take them out, I'll live
