Hi there,

I intend to build a composting chicken yard for my chickens, adding grass clippings and straw periodically to keep bugs growing and to produce a rich garden dirt. However, would putting a small pig with the chickens to root up the grass and straw be a problem in terms if it eating the chickens?

I don't think it will be a problem but if you do it I would monitor it closely for a while. If you want egg production that could be an issue. The pig may stress them out a bit. If you are not concerned about egg production then that's not an issue.

Hope this helps and if you have anymore questions let me know!

my friend had a small pig with hens without problems, they were not stress out, they ley eggs... until the pig start to eat eggs, because one hen lay eggs on the ground (not in the nest)
