I have noticed that members of the forum are using abbreviations to acknowledge the chicken variety that they wish to discuss. I have also noticed confusion associated with the abbreviation. If everyone would write in the following manner, I believe the confusion could be eliminated.
If ever body would write:for example
I have some blue cochin (BC) that I would like to breed but my BC offspring are leaking red. Can some one explain why my offspring from the BC crossing are leaking the red.
Could I use my rhode island red (RIR) to improve the color in my blue laced red wyandottes (BLRW)? My RIR are very dark red in color and that is what I want to see in my BLRW. What would the offspring from a RIR and BLRW cross look lke?
See how that works. This way of writing is used in the scientific literature and is easily understood by all.
Just a suggestion.
