Good Morning,
I am new to this forum as well as raising chickens. We have 20 Delawares and I want to give my girls all they need.
I read where Kelp or Flax is good. Anything new on this?
Thanks

Flax is a great source of omega 3 fatty acids. I get stabilized ground flax at my excellent feed store--it's in 25 or 50 lb bags. My horses get it as well so I always have plenty available--I put some in a smaller container to keep at the house for the Chix. They get it mixed into their "oatmeal" (layer pellets + rolled oats + ground flax + calcium powder + 1-2 eggs, shells included, nuked for 4 min. and allowed to cool).

Not sure about kelp--perhaps others will have opinions there.
