I’ve just treated my newest girls (4 weeks old) with corid, due to one sick chick. I had read somewhere I should follow up with nutridrench but cant remember how long to wait/how long to administer. Also, do you recommend the follow up dose of corid two weeks later For 3 days? I’ve had chickens for 4 years, but this is my first experience with coccidosis.

How many days did you treat with Corid and how much Corid did you use?

I used it for seven days. 1/2 tsp./qt. I had used nutridrench before hand, not knowing how sick she was. She didn’t show much improvement till four days in of corid. Now she’s doing great.

If they are doing great, then I would leave off the Nutri-Drench.
I mean, it won't hurt them, but if there's nothing wrong now, then it's really not needed right?

From what ive read, corid leaves them vitamin deficient, which is how it fights off the bacteria. I guess I’ll wait a few days and see how they are all doing. Violette, my little girl who was sick is doing so much better. The others in just a week, are so much bigger n stronger than she is. Luckily they all get along well.

If the Corid was given correctly and you are feeding a nutritionally balanced feed, then it really should not leave them deficient.
That said, again, it won't hurt to give her PND for a couple of days if you wish to do that.
It may give her a boost that she needs.
Some chicks are just weaker than others, so she may benefit.
