using the metal trap nest doors?

Wondering if anyone is using the metal trap next door fronts that are currently sold for about $25-$30 from Double R and others.
Do they work?
Did you build an extra deep nest box for them?... or just mound on the front of typical sized nests?

Hi Brendapa,

from the lack of response to my post... doesn't look like too many people are using them. I did order one... isn't installed yet. Seems rather heavy for a hen to use. If you are interested, I came across a homemade design that seems VERY simple. I will probably go with that rather than buy more of the commercial metal trap doors.
