I have a flock of 32 amazing chickens here in Northwest Ohio, and the temperatures here are getting, at times very cold to the point where they are getting frostbite on their combs and i fear that the same will happen to their waddles if i don't figure out a solution. The chickens are very calm and usually follow me around and cause trouble,

but when i try putting Vaseline on their combs and waddles, they freak out and try to get away or they just keep moving their head each time i try.

So my question is if there is a method that you can do to keep them still or keep them calm until i get this Vaseline on them?? Thanks.

Sounds like you need more ventilation but any who, I put my leg up on a bucket and let them stand on my leg while holding on firmly to them, they will fight you a bit I push the head into my chest gently and just keep working at it until they are covered.
