Using Virgin Coconut oil to get rid of lice

Has anyone used unrefined virgin coconut oil to rid chickens of lice?

It doesn't get rid of the lice but makes for great "Coconut Chicken".

Regimented premise treatment, and topical treatment when there's an infestation prevents re-infestation. Pyrethrine or Rabon based insecticides are the most effective and safe when label directions are followed.
