Utah!

Congrats on eveyones new eggs, Cluckingham Palace is almost done. Finishing roofing today and waiting for pain to dry on nest boxes, Chickens spent last night in the new coop. They were not thrilled. I waited until they were all in the old coops then moved them to the new coop and put them on perches. I put a lantern in there overnight so it would not be completely dark, Here are some pictures The trim on the front is Lime Green doesn't really show up to well but it really is pretty

Michelle, what a gorgeous little boy you have! Love the colors.
Lilwanis, congrats on your first egg! Hooray! Do you know which one did it?

Not sure, but I believe it is Lacy's as she is the one sporting a bright red comb and wattles. She is my notaglw. The other older ones, who are one and two weeks older than she is, are getting pinker in the face but don't have floppy combs and wattles yet. Ophelia squatted for me yesterday, she's the BO. The egg is a very light brown. It looks pink. I will post a pic when I have a chance.

Looove your coop!!! You have some purdy birds!

Ok, for my Polish experts on here..my polish that I hatched, and thought for sure it was a boy with all those spikes, until..I got Elvis and saw "her" spikes, thought I would wait to see what happened by 6 weeks, because that's what someone suggested on the Polish thread. Will post and ask there too...so, what do you think. Will post pics of my other two polish that are younger too.

6 weeks old today

Lisa, is this what you call a bearded?

The little buff, is getting more buff..

Here is the BCW..or, what ever it is..sure has a lot of black going down the neck, but tell
you what, between the cuckoo colored one and this one, it's on as to gets to me first!
Very sweet.

The little buff laced.

Can see her coloring better by Cotton.

Lisa, that dark, speckly egg is gorgeous!!

Red, I'm cracking up at your hens so mad at you.

Sundance, I've considered the automatic door, but haven't been convinced yet. I love your new henhouse. That purple is an awesome color. Your polish girl is getting awfully pretty. Are you still thinking about having her come up here for a playdate for a few weeks with my little guy? It'll be fun.

Cynthia, you can't stop hatching. You'll sell your bators, and then go buy new ones within a month or two. If nothing else, when I have all the eggs that would be olive eggers next spring, you'll go crazy with wanting to hatch some. If Sasha and gamebirds both back out, I'll probably want your bator. I'm not sure about your polish. I just know that when Thing 2 got his spikes, it was really obvious that he was a boy and Thing 1 was a girl.

Sasha, love your chickens. They're feathering in so nice. How is your new job?

Pawtraitart, gorgeous little cockerel, but I have too many

You poor thing, you have it too? Head cold? Started with sore throat..I'm now coughing really hard. That's the thing I really don't like when I get a cold. I cough soo hard, and can't stop.
I can't take cold meds. I'm allergic to so many meds. The cold meds. make me itchy all over. I have been taking IB Prophen though, helps with the inflammation in the nose.
You get some rest, and drink a lot of water! Good luck.

I got it last Thursday, and ten days later, I'm still coughing. It's really getting old! Hope you're feeling better soon.

Selling my incubators in about a month, that will be my last hatch...of Welsummers. They will hatch next month. Then I will have pretty much the flock I want for a while, then just buy my chicks. Done with hatching.

So, if anyone is interested in a cabinet bator, small,..or I have two fan bators..hovas..and one still air, pretty used. I was using it for lock down and hatching only for a while.

Cynthia, don't make any decisions while you are sick. You may be just feeling bad and tired. Wait until your well then decide. That is a big decision to make and if your not feeling well it may well be the wrong one. Anyway feel better. The coop is all roofed now the laying boxes in it. Getting the automatic door tomorrow the run is attached. I hope to have some happy chickens
