Utah!

I am in Woods Cross Utah, our chicken limit was boosted up to 10 this year. My favorite breed is Silver Laced Wyandotte, does anyone have SLW fertile eggs from time to time?

Hey, congrats on the partridge, Cynthia!!! Sundance is awesome chicken people. Luckily (or unluckily?) for me, I was so busy last night with clients that I wasn't able to get to her house. I'm very disappointed. And kind of relieved. As it was, poor Lisa didn't get her chick til after 10:30pm.

Wendy, call me I'm saving a sizzle for you

I realized today that I still have a bator in my trunk from Cynthia. I'm not even sure who exactly it's going to...anyone want to claim it so we can make arrangements to get it to you? :D

Yes, too bad I forgot to tell you that it goes to Sasha, who, just happens to live right close to Lisa! Sphinx could have taken it! Oh well, maybe Sasha will be coming down your way sometime. So sorry you guys!

Sundance, strong little partridge I have here. I know you have already shown *her* off, but I have to get a picture of her..maybe tomorrow. She is soooo cute...actually, already very pretty in color. I have one! Thank you again. :)

Ok, I just noticed something, I am now a flockmaster..whoot! I don't even know when that happened! Could have been last month, could have been last week, or yesterday, but I know it wasn't that long ago, I was a True BYC Addict.
I still Am!!

Looks like I need to get some Denegard for my flock. I noticed last week that my blue Ameraucana had a cough every once in a while, but I wasn't sure at first that that's what it was. Now at least two other birds are starting to get little cold symptoms

So until I get this taken care of, my house is off limits to any chicken friends. Sorry. I don't want this to spread.

Anyone know if Denegard is safe for turkeys to have, too?

Also, depending on how things go, there's a chance I may be driving up to Paradise somewhere in the relatively near future. If that's the case, I may be able to take that incubator to Sasha, since I'm close to Aravis, and I drive through Hyrum to get to Paradise, anyway. I promise I will Lysol the living daylights out of everything on me!

I had a great chicken day. I got to meet MIMIChicks she came and picked up 2 sizzles and a silkie chick so fun for her to get something she has always wanted. I gave her the tour of Cluckingham Palace I think I over whelmed her. I was also able to get Cynthia her partridge sizzle and boy was she excited. Guess I am going to have to hatch more of thise next year. I had hoped to put my bator away but I set the eggs I brought home from Phoenix. Yes I am crazy but I will have little halloween chicks

Dalooras, I had been to someone's house that had a sick bird on antibiotics, but the symptoms with my Ameraucana showed up 36 hours after I came home, if not less. I also took care to scrub my arms and hands with soap, change my clothes, and Lysol the snot out of my shoes, then change my shoes altogether. I really am thinking that this was just a bad coincidence, at this point. The only other thing that I can think of is that my birds got it from some of the wild fowl around here. I have seen quail in the yard multiple times, now. We've also got pigeons, mourning doves, magpies, sparrows, finches, starlings, and others. I see some of those in the garden area at times, but my girls usually chase them off.

HI everyone! Man, I feel like I've been away from family for the longest time. I miss you guys! I've also missed a lot of posts...so just scanned the last couple pages...Cynthia, I'm soooo happy you FINALLY have your partridge!!! Woohoo!!! I haven't sent you a check yet...but will get that done tomorrow!
Ara, that incubator was coming to me. :) Will you, or anybody else down that way, be coming to Farmington next weekend for the poultry show? Speaking of which, who is going?
Lisa, I don't have to work on Saturday until 5pm, so I'm planning on going down in the morning if you'd like to ride with me.

When it warms up tomorrow and I put the chicks outside for a little while, I'll take some pictures to post an update. The MIlle Fleur/Calico Cochins are becoming prettier every day.

Pretty dang sure one of my bantam Ameraucanas is a cockerel, the jury is still out on the other. It's feathering much slower. Auntie Hattie, are you alive and well?
