Utah!

I have three that will go into lock down on Wed.  :))   Hoping all three hatch, but will probably only keep one!   We will see what I get, I may have two for you. If you are interested in the SFH's!

Cynthia, that doesn't help my will power issue ;) but really, I don't have the setup for colder weather babies. The Mini Coop worked really well in summer weather, but it is not weather or cold proof, and is too small to add a heat lamp...sigh. I will have to remain strong until spring.

ETA: plus my "brooder" is currently being used for storage. I used Rubbermaid containers, worked really well, and super easy to clean.

Nah, do you have a garage??

I looove my new chicks!! Thanks so much sundance. They are all settled in and doing well. I tried posting pics of my little flock but it wasnt working. Ill try tomorrow when I can get to a computer. :)

Oh, it's too bad I didn't get Sasha's new incubator while I was out. Oh well.

Congrats on the new chicks everyone. I have decided to give in and get a couple from Sundance. Once I can get down there to pick them up, I'll get them. Soooooo excited!!! I also can't wait to see Cluckingham Palace.

Red, sorry about the cough in your birds. I hope you can get it under control soon. We have a ton of wild birds in my chicken pens as well.

Sundance, I'd be hatching those sizzles too. Smart decision. Good luck at your cat show. I wish it was going Friday as well.

Poultry show: I definitely want to go. I'm running the Tough Mudder on Sunday, but I may be able to stop by the show on Saturday morning.

Lisa, when are you going to Frightmares? We have season passes, and I need to take my kids before the season ends.

Hmmm, that treadle feeder sounds intriguing. I'm sick of feeding all the wild birds.

Lilwanis, I love that picture. How cute!

Lilwanis, WAY cute picture. Made me smile

Sphinx, good for you! That'll show that stupid chicken math how strong you are with only getting a couple and not 20

Those babies are so cute. I really am happy for you. And Cluckingham Palace looks cool!

Alright, I'm off to meet ElkMtnCove for the first time! So excited, except for the drive up Parley's in my Jeep (......civic......) Elk might kill me for saying so, but I chatted with her for a minute on the phone today and things have been pretty rough over in her neck of the woods. They were losing a lot of their birds to foxes, and a couple of weeks ago, they lost her FIL, as well. So if I could be audacious enough to ask, please keep her family in your prayers.

And then I'm off to deliver a couple of chickens in Tooele, sneaky sneaky. My BF is out of town on the elk hunt......he's gonna get a surprise when he gets back, muaha!

Cute chickens everywhere... really does terrible things to the will power, but I am strong, and will not cave, haha (until spring at least, hehe)

sorry to bring up a terribly old subject, but Red, did you get that job at CAL Ranch??

Awesome GC today, BTW...

Cynthia, who did you get your SFH eggs from?? There's a couple of breeders I've been looking at getting eggs from in the spring, so curious who yours are from?

Not going to lie, Cluckingham Palace is pretty sweet. It is a really awesome setup :) Those are some lucky chickens.

Thank you for the compliments on the pic. To answer Cynthia's question, no he didn't go away, Kaia had treats in her hand behind her back and he wasn't going anywhere until he got them, lol. The other picture in that set shows both of them better (she is actually giving him the treats in that one), but I like this one....it just shows their personalities.

I pleaded the case of keeping chicks in the garage, but since I don't have a garage (my husband does), I didn't get anywhere. I will have to live vicariously through all of your chickie pictures until spring. That and I am going to go to the poultry show next weekend (anyone have any information and directions for that?)

I have been eyeballing pumpkins thanks to this thread...
