Utah!

Sphinx, that is awesome! which does your intuition tell you it is? I am guessing two from Cinderella if they are the same hue....I did have my first EE lay two her first day, but the first one was really blue and tiny, like a 'fart egg', then the second one was more soft shelled and lighter. Then she took a couple days off then laid a normal one :) How weird would it be if Daloorashens laid today too? It would have to be called 'olive egg day'. It should be a special day, after all it IS
10...11.....12...!

Sundance, I am jealous of that lav you have lol mine lays teensy greenish ones. Not very fun eggs. But a sweet girl so it is hard to be mad at her.

Cynthia, your turn is coming, hang in there! Can't wait to see your first olive egg post!

Hope to see some of you at the cat show Saturday or Sunday. If we haven't met ask for me.

Sundance will be the one with the gorgeous sphynx cats with all the winning ribbons posted about all over the place.

My intuition is that Cinderella laid two eggs in one day.

Lisa, we think that little BR is just deformed. Either his spine is really crooked, or he has a large lump on one shoulder. He's never squawked right, and his body size is smaller than the pullet's. My mom has already claimed him as hers, and if for some reason she can't keep him here, my BF has taken a liking to him. He's our special boy

I checked one of the nesting spots today after work and found an egg that someone had started to peck into

Looks like they didn't even break much of the membrane, and the hole was a little smaller than a pea. I grabbed it and hustled it into the house without letting any of the birds see it. I'm hoping this problem doesn't continue.

Pictures, finally!

This is Amy, one of my Swedish Flowers and the picture doesn't do her justice! :)

This is Martha, the other Swedish Flower, she's the smallest and friendliest of the group. She's such a sweetie! I absolutely love her feathers.

This is Donna, my Australorp. She's the biggest and, so far, she's in charge.

This is Rose, the Buff Sex Link, she's the most skittish of people...but she's also the first to butt right up and push the others out of the way when I hold food in my hand for them.

Aravis, your babies are very cute! I'm happy you guys were able to get some

Sigh.........so, I think all three of the turkeys are girls. You watch, the one that I was dead certain was a hen will turn out to be a tom. Male turkeys are supposed to get blue in their face when they flush, and not just red, right? These two white turkeys only ever get red in their face. And the tom's (?) snood is still very small for what I thought it would be by now. Pawtrait, Birdguy, can you tell the gender on your turkeys more easily by 12 weeks of age? Arg, I need my computer so I can put up pictures!

By the way, there's a good chance I should be headed up to the Logan area some time in the near future, so if anyone needs any chicken train stops, let me know. I'll be stopping in Hyrum for a moment to see Sasha.

Aravis, your babies are really darling!!

Red, I'd love to see pictures of your turkeys, even though I'd never be able to guess gender.

Birdman, I DID happen to know that. Kind of funny, eh?

I got another olive egg today, and it's the color I was expecting from my olive egger. Her egg is above the bcm egg (who has yet to lay another egg. -sigh-)

awwwww, it's so cute and tiny!!!!! I have seen my friend's silkie eggs, and they get bigger than that. :D

Very exciting for you!

Oh my goodness! Yours are feathering out so much faster than mine!! Oh Oh! For me..yours are looking girly from what I am seeing. I am so hoping that the three in right now hatch out, and I get one that is yellow and black like that one you have..they change a lot.
LOL,, you just described a sex link pretty good! They usually come around in friendliness, they love their treats, and when you get the outside, they will be the first there for sure..that's if, you don't have a leghorn. :p They look really good..looks like you are taking really good care of them..nice and healthy babies.
