Hey, I don't mind the "mush". I think it's sweet

Lisa, I'll let you know when I start collecting eggs from this Icelandic girl, okay? Now you watch, I'll find out that it was her buddy the Leghorn laying all this time, and the two were playing a dirty joke on me........I know the Icelandic is old enough to lay. She's been red in the face for a little while. Now I just need to set up a pen to keep her separate from the other boys. Ohh, she's not gonna like me.

Sundance, it sounds like you, Cynthia and I all got hit with the same part of the storm. I wonder if you have wind bringing snowdrifts into your yard, as well? The deepest I have seen here comes to three or four inches below my knee. Keep in mind that I've got short legs

Awww you guys are so mushy, I think you need "roostered" to break up all that happy bliss. Psshht. haha.
And Blujems, stop wishing for snow! The groundwater over here in the swamp is outta control already.

Whittni, awesome. She's pretty! Every time I see someone else's Sussex, I wish my SS had made it as a chick. They are such cool-looking birds.

Well the polish roosters I have could not hold a candle to a cornish game hen so I better find somewhere more suitable for the ole skinny boys. :gig

Red, deal! I won''t start eggs til the first of Feb....chicks the first of March....have to make it manageable to keep them in the garage until the warm in April. There will be a lot when my chick shipment comes so I want to keep them all together. So if anything at your place gets exciting with the Icelandics around those times holler! Eggs or chicks. Chicks or Eggs. Very exciting the possibilities.... :celebrate Hey! A leghorn with an Icelandic papa could be really cute!

Cynthia, good post. Thanks to any one here and anywhere else for that matter that has helped to keep us safe by serving our country. Brave and honorable folks. We <3 and appreciate you! More than you can ever know. ;)

Whittni---very very pretty girl!

oops, forgot to mention I loved your pics Lisa!!! I like your run, too... And you give them pizza???? Holy moly, they are spoiled, haha

So... Blu is going to do the NYD hatch eh?? I'm hoping to join in at least for an easter hatch, I think my kiddos would really like it...

It's very exciting talking about all these eggs and hatches!!

Blu and Lisa - Those are absolutely gorgeous eggs!

Cynthia - Looks like your puppy is having a ton of fun!

Sundance - Congrats on your cats and I'll be thinking and praying for you today. I hope all goes smoothly!

I love all of the pictures! My girls are going into their coop this week, I checked the forecast today and I think Thursday is the day...it's supposed to stay above freezing, even at night, for a few days after that. I'll post pictures once they're out there.
