Utah!

From the left: White Laced Cornish Bantam, 2 Crele Old English Game Bantams, White sussex (back), Wheaten Old English Game Bantam (middle), 2 silkie bantams and the grey one in back is a Lavender Ameraucana.

Wow, I mistook that Sussex for a Brahma, at first. What's the white one behind it? (Aren't I a pain?)

Blu, the hatching bug is stirring!

If one of my Icelandic pullets is indeed laying now, I could technically stick her in a pen with one of the cockerels and wait a couple of weeks, then start collecting her eggs for incubation. I'm sooo tempted to see what her babies would look like.

Ok, this is really funny. Remember I kept my still air bator, and got some barn yard mixed eggs to see how well it would work after having used it for hatching chicks.
I was given 12 eggs from the gal that bought the two forced air bators, one that has never been used for hatching, just incubation. Nice bators.
Well, she has blue Ameraucanas from me, I have some of the third generation of eggs here to hatch. They are all fertile, and will go into lock down on Tues! All of them! Well then, guess that still air is good with eggs that are from around here..wonder how it would do with shipped? lol..I'm sure that's the biggest factor, these eggs are from up around Taylorsville, so were brought down in a car. She has some of my Pencils too, with a roo. I have three of those. If those turn out to be pure, I'm not wanting to keep them. I want the one that is in the turqoise colored egg..to be a girl. :) There is an olive egg! If it is a black chick, and a girl, there is my Olive Egger. There is a powder blue egg..very pretty. So, here I go again, only I really didn't think it would be with this many doing this well! Wouldn't it be funny if I got my first 100% hatch in about a year? In this still air?? Too funny. I think Scott is actually glad that I have these coming..more to concentrate on other than my son leaving this coming Tues. for Georgia. I'm happy for him, really! I am just a mom, and do worry. He is in for a culture shock. He's been told, but he hasn't lived it. I lived in Florida..been in Georgia. lived in VA. and NC. It's quite different back east. :)

It's been snowing for the last couple of hrs again!

Might as well add to the caos besides Rhonda will be here she will get a get a kick out of it.
Well Casa looks like were going need to set ya up with hatched chicks? or some fertile eggs.

ABSOLUTELY! lol I am signed up for a couple for sure.
And I heard about these goats due on NY Eve....AND puppies....you guys are quite the farmers. I am coming to visit you guys this week, you can tell me all the reasons we need a goat one more time....haha. Still trying to convince my DH that a goat would fit right in over here. I think maybe....more chickens.

Good luck will send good thoughts for you.

We will have plenty of eggs to hatch. Right now I have the BCM Rooster with the BCM Hens and the silver laced wyandotte.

The Ameraucana Roo. is with the 2 ameraucana hens and the 2 cuckoo maran hens.

Then of course we have the Blue Breasted Old English...(right now my favorites...they are so pretty) and of course cute little creamy eggs.

Just have to decide when to start hatching.

I have every thing ready, just not sure when I want to start hatching. I am thinking early so they start laying sooner, just not sure how early.

Honestly, if I had it set up right, I would be hatching now so I could sell POL pullets in the spring, but that will be in my next chicken life, LOL=)

I think slvrphoenix talked me into doing a hatch for new years eve....Going to hope for some BCM and Wheaten Ameraucana chicks. Guess we will see how many eggs I can get. don't really want to do any mixes to start off but will see what we can get.
