Hector, that would be great!
Slvrphoenix...oh it is pretty funny actually now that I am done being mad at him/her. I am glad I had a place for it to go, quick! BUT of all the chickens I have, WHY did it have to be that one >! Exasperation at these little guys always tricking us. Cynthia, you will have to check out your records and let me know where is the best place to get showgirl hatching eggs/which ones hatched best for you. I am going to give it a try. Just one batch, I know they are tough...but have to try once at least! I really want another white one, just like my last one only female!
Didn't you say that the guy that got your showgirl has Silkies? Showgirl + Silkies, gives you both. That's actually how most of the eggs sent to me were. I never knew for sure if I would get any showgirls. There are some that breed showgirl to showgirl.
Either a girl showgirl or boy showrgirl, with the opposite Silkie sex. So, if he said you could have some eggs..you have an excellent chance of getting another pretty showgirl. The bowties are hard to get that are that full. Yours had a nice one. If he is crowing, he will be wanting to do the manly thing soon.

Hector, would you believe, that my leghorn is still molting? I am not sure what is going on. She is eating well. I give her extra protein. Boss. Barley, and regular layer mash. She is laying, but not every day, but almost.

I have three POL girls. One being the wheaten. She is getting red. She was in the nest box yesterday, but not sure if it was because she wanted to hang out in there. Usually though, they just sit on the edge of the boxes in the day, not lay in them. hmmm! She is the most red out of my three. The other two or, should say three more..! .. are, a red sex link, my blue EE, and my leghorn A. mix.
My blue splash is being a good mama. Stays on those eggs. I need to candle again on day 10. I know they both looked good and with veins when I checked last.
