Utah!

Cynthia my heart aches for you. Toby was such a beautiful dog. I hate that this happened to you. You will be in my prayers. So sorry.

Red those turkeys keep you hopping! I'm glad it was ok from the dog attack.

Sphinx so sad about your little silkie. Sheesh to much sad stuff happening today. I'm going to need to go hug my dog, give the chickens a treat and then eat some chocolate.

Daloorashens Thanks for the link on shipped eggs. I have spent part of my afternoon reading it. I think I will change up some things when my newly shipped eggs come on Monday. I hope I will get some better hatches.

Oh and guess what I got today!!! My first egg in months! MONTHS I tell you! Finally I may have chickens starting to lay again.

Oh man. How sad about Toby! I wish I could give you a big squeeze right now Cynthia, I am so sorry. You too Sphinx....the little silkie too, man that is awful. I will have (hopefully) babies right before Christmas....silkies and showgirls. You sure are welcome to one. Red, I am glad you are not a third with a loss today, glad it worked out in your favor!

Yay for Cynthia's egg, and hattie's chicken starting back up. ! I had a good thing today...got to visit with Blujems and her DH slvrphoenix, they came by, yay! Always fun to see you guys. And my bad news...my Elvis got her bum picked on today and it bled a little, I put RB no-pick on her so hopefully that will end. Somebody is starting to munch on the others again, this time last year is when it started last time. I hope I can figure out who it is and end it. I know my GSL is bossy and picks a little, but not sure if she was the culprit today. :/

oh cynthia i am so sorry :( and sphinx i am sorry for your loss too :( red nice idea with the eggs. your neighbor has a very good neighbor in you. the lucky guy. may just have to lock that turkey in for a while.

Lisa, let it never be said that running outside in your underpants won't accomplish anything!

Hahaha, just kidding. I'm glad it was a near miss, too.

Brad, you are gonna make me blush. Yep, I think this little one (BIG little one) will be penned until I can figure out how to better restrain her while ranging. Turkeys might be oblivious, but they're not stupid.

Hattie, YAAYY!! That makes me excited for you!

I actually got two eggs today! One from our BSL, and one from my BO. She's been laying up a storm. I just don't even know what to do with myself. Now wouldn't that be something if you got another egg tomorrow? Hot dang

Sorry for just showing up. We thought it would be easier if we drop of the food for ya.

Sphinx, you lost a pet too. Soo sorry. My goodness. We just never know.
I had my chickens out this morning, but when Scott and I backed out of the driveway this morning, I saw that coopers hawk, and said, I have to go put the chickens in! I got them in, and it's funny, because the thought came to me, just as well, just in case one of you decide to lay your first egg I would like it to be in a nest box, or at least in the coop or run somewhere. I was still surprised when I saw it though. Hope they keep coming. I want to sell my New Hampshire.

Whittni, that picture is HILARIOUS!

Cynthia, I really don't think the loss of this silkie is even on the same spectrum as losing your Toby. Yeah, it was a little sad. But I just don't think chickens are nearly as great as dogs.

Sundance, the more I think about it, the more I think I will go buy a silkie from you tomorrow, especially if you have some of the same size and looking girly. I think my 7 year old is going to be devastated when she realized Wow Wow Wubzy is gone. My 5 year old was pretty sad too. I'm going to be in town tomorrow. Trying to figure out a way to sneak the chicken home without Bri realizing it...
