It's $12.99 bag for 20% lay mash (what I use) until Wednesday. Guess if we don't hear from whoever is selling other food, it's time to stock up!
(Good thing I have a bunch of egg money saved up!)
I use 20% in the winter to help keep them warm, but fall back to 16% in the summer so they don't burn out (something I was told). I do try to keep them laying all winter by providing 7/15 hours of light so I am pushing them some anyway. I'm still new at this and I make my way through. I vary my mix the summer is mostly 16% layer pellets, and some 20% poultry developer, a container of fossal flower and a little bit of Purina Layena (they don't like it and I'm trying to get rid of it.
Does anyone near Utah County have fertile eggs to sell? I've got a broody Australorpe and my kids think it would be fun to see if she'll hatch some chicks. I'd only want 2 or so. Thanks!

Hi,
Just bought 4 bags of 20% laying mash and pellets from IFA, because yesterday was the last day of their sale.
Any word on the home made stuff someone was mixing up?
I had the GREAT blessing of being able to find triticale, which is an AWESOME grain, so I was able to include a lot of it in my feeds. Because I was able to find this grain, I decided to make premium feed this batch at good prices, rather than super-economy feed. If I find that sale coordination can work alright, I may be able to offer super-economy feed in the future, too.
From this batch, I am offering:
TRITICALE SCRATCH--The protein level is 14.5% (Most scratch feed has only 10%).
TRITICALE POULTRY PELLETS--17% protein. Scientifically formulated for correct nutrition and optimal digestibility. Much more well-rounded combination of grains than most poultry feeds.
I put together 9 tons and think I've got buyers already lined up for about a third.
Im still putting together price scale & order form & will post as soon as I can. I will start deliveries next week.
By delivery in Salt Lake, Ogden, Tremonton and Cache Valley areas
