Can you have roosters? Chickenstock is kind of like a chicken swap meet in Idaho sometime in May

Yep, I can keep roosters, I just need to build a chickencoop that'll rival Fort Knox. (I've been too scared to use the old one again after the dogs tore it apart last time. Hence the chicken in the shower.)
I've got family in Idaho Falls who might let me stay with them, the real problem is getting there. It'll probably cost me $100 dollars for gas and that'd leave nothing for buying chicks.

I really want to go, it sounds so fun.

I am going to try and meet Lisa in Logan for more carpooling trouble fun. I don't think she'd mind terribly if you came along, too. And if so, I can ride in the trunk

So sorry Red, you've been through so much with this x wife thing, it's no wonder your health is acting up. You know what I told you I thought you needed to do for your tummy. Tell..don't ask, tell your dr.s what you want done. And teeth can really cause havoc on the body if they are bad. You know where to go to fix that.

Glad you have ins. now, and hopefully will do what you need done to figure things out for you.
And hey, if I can whine on here, so can anyone else, I promise, I will share this thread with anyone else that wants to whine..or what seems better in my thoughts are.. looking for a shoulder to lean on, and/or someone that will listen with non prejudice. That would be us!

come get some of my chicks. By the time they are ready to go outside you will have your pen rebuilt. your welcome to one of my chickens if you need a hen friend

Has anyone ever had two hatches going on in the same incubator? Is that possible?

ie. The first set of eggs werent developing, only a few were, so you keep the ones that are, throw out the bad. And set a new batch in the same incubator.

Bird man I planted lemon balm last summer. I was always walking by and picking it to smell. It's a favorite. I'm hoping it will come back again this year. Do you know if it is a perennial? Just bought all of my seeds to get started indoors for planting my garden. I'm trying out some fun heirloom seeds this year. I'm getting pretty excited to see green coming up again in all the dirt!

I agree with Cynthia you have been under a ton of stress and it is manifesting itself through your health. So sorry about the BF problems again. You have really been put through the wringer as they would say.

Take care of yourself now it is important for your future well being. Like when we can hear those wedding bells ring! Thanks for being willing to send me eggs I'm really the only lame-o on here that is only able to have banty's. I just have to live vicariously though you guys that have the bigs girls and boys! Sigh.

Sundance do you think you would have time to meet on your way through? Either going or coming back. I'd love to have a meet up with you.

yeah lemon balm is a perennial so it should be back yeah i am dieing to garden again. this year i have tons more garden space to work with too

No fees to come... I'm working on a couple of sponsors again this year and we'll have some silent auction items as well.. Can't do the raffle this year but we're going to do a few other things to cover costs... I'm sure you'll end up with a chick or two for coming!! I gave away over 200 chicks to kids last year.. I have a handful of younger siblings ranging from 17 to 7 years old at home. I was already thinking of getting a pair of chicks for the youngest brother's birthday present in the spring.
