Well out of the 13 eggs I started with, I have 9 left. 3 had quit. I am excited, Lock down is on friday. Hopefully I will have some fuzzy chicks next week. I have 8 blue wheaten ameraucana and one EE/Am mix.

If anyone wants any hatching eggs. The wheaten ameraucanas are laying very well. and I have one in with the FBCM Rooster for OE. The FBCM have slowed down but I still get an occasional egg.

Bluejems, where are you from? I might be interested! How much would they be?

Red, you should make a book--a city farmer's collection of chicken memoirs. It would be awesome, I love your stories about your silly girls.

Donna, congrats on the babies! I sold my marans chicks on KSL for $6-7 straight run. In Logan...you could probably go way more down there in the populated area. When are your next eggs due/what kind again?

Cynthia, your boy looks so happy on his mission. I bet you are counting every day until he gets back. Your nest is empty now right? My girl starts college this fall, then one left to go, my 13 yr old son. I hate seeing them grow up and leave!

I am just outside of Logan. I have been getting $2 per egg (pure). Mixed breed such as the EE/AM or the AM/FBCM are $1

Woke up to a hatched baby! It was one of yours RED...out of a blue, now, the dark green egg has hatched! Your other blue is working pretty good, it's wobbling around with a pretty good pip.

And..monster egg has pipped. It's pipped more since this morning. Can't wait to see the size of this baby. It has a very large air sac up the side, so many it won't be as big as I'm thinking, but all I can remember was the size of that foot when I candled last week! I hear chirping going on in there. Due tomorrow. Early hatchers again.

Red, I love the color of this first baby, I can see the coloring it best for now, because it is drying out. It looks to have a blue back. I'm glad you wrote who the dad could be. The other looks to have a lot of red..big comb already.. :/ I hope it's a girl with a big comb.

I am waiting for another goat to pop........I kicked all the roosters out to the coop this weekend. So here is a pic of the good hens who got to stay inside.

I can't believe that huge ole egg has made it this far! I am dying to see what is in there. I kept thinking it HAD to be twins, a double, but then you saw that big old foot....so exciting! Maybe you should name this one Sasquatch! I sure hope it makes it to hatch

I actually have thought about starting a thread in the pictures & stories section that would work kind of like a farm journal.......especially with the turkey experiences.

This means my boys carry the blue jean! Awesome! And if it's out of a blue egg, that's probably Chuck Norris's baby - she's half Leghorn, so maybe that's where the large comb is coming from? That, or it means Gunther's the daddy. That boy has a comb that would make any self-respecting RIR proud
