Whoa! They sell for that much? Love the stubby legs on those Seramas. They look like dolls!

All this hatching has got to me. I was talked out of getting a bator ( i was told i would to dangerous in my hands). Little does the family know how dangerous broodys can be, and i have 3 bantams that love to go broody. Plus 4 of my LF are very known for their broodiness.

Like i said in an earlier post my little Momo has gone broody again. I have gathered 2 RIR eggs and 2 Dominique eggs. I will get 1 more egg and bring Momo inside to hatch her clutch. I'm hoping to catch my SLW in the nest box but if not i will probable get another RIR since these are so easy to sale. I can always tell the RIR eggs cause they are covered with dark brown spots.

I heard a cheep cheep in my bator that went into lock down yesterday. They are due on Tue. This worries me when they do this to me..internally pip. I have so many of those eggs that have high air sacs. I never know if they can reach the shell or not. Oh dear. It was fun hearing the little one though. I will be looking at those eggs for an external pip until I go to bed, and as soon as I get up!

Sundance, they are young. Both boys 19..and even 40 year old folks look young to me anymore.

But, I still feel 19 inside.

Mimi, is it day 21 today? That makes me nervous, too. I know some come late, but I would have a hard time not peeling off a fragment of shell to see if it's still alive or not. You hatching experts: Will they still bleed if the chick has passed?

Cynthia, I worry about your little early peeper, too, but it also made me think about how the eggs I gave you should be fathered by the Icelandics. Icees can come early. So hopefully that's all it is?

Gary, you are a naughty boy. But I'd be doing the same thing, hehe.

Okay, so here I am standing out in the garage for a few minutes tonight while everyone was let out. I had a bowl of Thick 'n milk in hand (I think it's actually called Lumpy Dick) The Icelandics took noticed and decided it looked very interesting. So what did I get? A pullet jumping off the floor and flying up into my bowl to help herself. Twice. Took me by surprise and I shooed them away before they really got into my food, but I thought it was amazing that they could do that.

Well out of the 13 eggs I started with, I have 9 left. 3 had quit. I am excited, Lock down is on friday. Hopefully I will have some fuzzy chicks next week. I have 8 blue wheaten ameraucana and one EE/Am mix.

If anyone wants any hatching eggs. The wheaten ameraucanas are laying very well. and I have one in with the FBCM Rooster for OE. The FBCM have slowed down but I still get an occasional egg.
