6 cream Legbars are out of the eggs now. 4 look good, but two of them have small openings on their bellies, somewhat like the one we had to put down in the last hatch, but not as bad. I'm hoping they close up over the next few days. Left them in the bator. None of the Welsummers even pipped. I think Joel is giving up hope. :( I'm going to leave them another day or two, just in case, but I'm not very hopeful on them.

Lisa I am so glad that you got some of the SBELs. I had bad luck with them; huge wonky air cells and none ever pipped. Did I miss pics of them? Weird about the Marans; I hope you get some

My son received his mission call today

He will be serving in South Carolina, Columbia mission. That is SUPER close to your son Cynthia! Funny huh?
When he read it all I heard was Columbia and almost had a heart attack! I'm just stunned thinking, they don't have LDS missions there! They have drug lords and murders and .....and.....and.....they had to walk me over to the map and point to Columbia, South Carolina. Head slap.
It is also fun because I have a trip planned next spring to go to Savannah, Georgia. We will be so close to my son and Cynthia's

I'm new to the site, great to know there is lots of Utah activity though! I have a question for everyone. I have a Booted Bantam pair (hen and roo) that I need to get rid of. What is the best way to find someone who is willing to take them? Can I sell along this thread (Sorry I don't have time to read 1500 pages)? any ideas? Any takers? I'm in Utah County

Thanks everyone, KSL worked for me and they sold within a few hours of posted. I guess Utah really is addicted to Chickens!

I stopped at the Riverton IFA on the way home tonight. No i didn't by anything but it was so hard. The bantam Polish are so cute. I stood in front of their brooder and was seriously picking the 4 that i wanted in my head. Cause you have to by 4. Then i went to the Bantam EE and picked the 4 from them. Then i went to the LF EE's and picked them. About that time i got a text from home asking, "WERE ARE YOU". My turn to cook dinner.

Oh my goodness! Tell him congratulations!
Guess what? Our son is supposed to tell us if he got transferred or not on Mon. We were guessing he would, because he hasn't since he's been there. Well, we are sneaky. We can look at his card and see where he is spending money. Ha ha...today, he spent money in the northern part of GA. He's been down down South. Now he is even North of Atlanta! Pretty sure he is there. I don't think he would go that far to go to Walmart! he he....I looked it up. Looks like a pretty good sized city.
So you are right, they will be close. Closer than when he was way down south. Can't wait to hear what he says about being in a big city now.

Was your son pretty excited? (silly question) Ha, he will come home with an accent too! You will be seeing Ya'll before you know it in his letters home.
Hey, you can't go see him while your in Savannah young lady! No No! lol....anyway, he will love it there. I lived in NC for a while..sooo beautiful! Wooded area. Just gorgeous! You are going to be soo happy that he is here in the states! From the things I hear about the mail and other things when they are out of the country. It takes weeks sometimes for them to get mail, or for family to get mail. And, they don't always trust sending boxes, plus, sending boxes is expensive enough from here to GA., can't imagine out of the country!

Can you believe it you guys..next month, we will be able to say that Austin has been out on his mission for half a year! He says it's going by way too fast, he's loving it.
