Utah!

Oh my gosh, Lisa - That baby totally has a Frenchie mustache and goatee!

Love the stinkeye in the last pic.

Birdguy, random question - Do you ever see the Jackson Hole brand of soda in the stores where you are? I am in love with the ginger beer, but NO stores around here sell it! Gaah!!

Blu, yikes! That sounds mighty painful! How in the world did that happen? I'm so glad they found it and are working to get it fixed, ugh!

Well, some of the chickens had a bit of a field trip today - inside our house. You know me, I got pictures.

Flekka checking out the cat food. Yum.

Dottie, please don't go downstairs.....

Now Flekka is in the dining room area (sorry about the mess - it's Saturday)

And now she's back in the kitchen. You just try and tell me Icelandics don't like to wander

Jemma, being her usual quirky self and checking out the digs.

I'm slightly embarrassed about all the cracks in our kitchen floor, too - lousy support underneath, blah. We want to get it redone. Right after we get one of them money trees.

Man, it seems that there is a bit of bad news here and there. I got some terrible news this morning. My Uncle passed away this morning. It was so sudden! He went in with a heart attack on Wed. I didn't even find that out until Yesterday on fb. Everyone thought he would pull through after the surgery on Wed. This morning, he passed. I can't believe it. He was one of those health nuts. Took all sorts of herbs, vitamins..exercised. I will always remember his little chuckle. He was one those really nice guys, couldn't say anything bad about him. Good to people. We always thought that my Aunt would go first, her health is so bad. Thinking one of the kids are going to have to take her in. I can't imagine her on her own. Oh dear. We just never know. :(

I started out 7 years ago with ear pain and dizzyness/vertigo....about a year ago the pain moved to my face/left side of head. Horrible pain. So not sure if that is the cause of the original issue or just a more recent thing. Either way I will be happy to at least have the pain gone. I have learned to cope with the dizziness.

A few pics of the little ones...These are the OE

and the EE

and the blue wheaton ameraucana

this one was very irritated with me

Cynthia, sorry about your uncle! Dang! There is a lot of sad stuff going around. Hope your Aunt can get through it, glad she has kids to help her and watch over her. It is always especially tough when it is unexpected like that. My grandma got sick with the "flu", went to the hospital and was told she was dying, and was gone two days later. This happened 2 yrs ago--I was so shocked! Tough to deal with. My mom was such a mess for so long, it just feels easier to cope with when you see it coming rather than being blindsided. Hugs to you my friend :hugs

Red, I think it is really cute the chickens raided your house. They think they have a new coop upgrade lol! Hope your shipped Icee eggs hang in there for you.

Blu, I like Sparkles' baby! Pretty with the little eyeliner. Both of my Sparkles' babies have been more orange, and were boys...so maybe this one being more yellow colored it means something good :) It definitely has a different look to it than the two I had. You have any more eggs in you bator?

Nope everyone is done for now. I have 3 OE, 2 sparkles juniors and 2 of the ameraucanas....there has to be a couple girls in there...right?

I have had a box elder bug chasing the chicks around the incubator....it has been very entertaining. They were scared to death. I thought they would eat it but no they just ran away.

I have over 60 chicks now. If I put a beetle in there and got the same reaction, the stampede would shake the house and there would be mass casualties.

Really must refrain from sticking more eggs in the bator...
