Utah!

Cynthia, I've successfully fixed crooked toes in the past and been pleased with that result. So crooked toes don't worry me like splayed leg does. Baby is all taped up. I've been hanging around the school, doing chick physical therapy too. I'm such a dork.

SillyMcCoy, I think it was you that was interested in FBCM? If this little one makes it, you can have it and the bcm/lav am/legbar mix.

I'm also looking for a BLRW started pullet and/or light (or coronation) sussex pullets if anybody has any available!
Does anybody have peachicks? (don't tell my husband I wrote that!)

Have to share the eggs I just got in the mail. They are super dark wheaten marans. I am so excited and have been waiting for months for them to come.

OMG, that would be awesome. I keep getting chicks and then needing to re-home them because they are Roos, haven't had much luck. But then again I did rescue the first group and then took the 2nd group from a preschool hatching, and I'm pretty sure I have 2, maybe 3 Roos out of those 4.

I do have 2 RIR, and 2 EE that just turned 3 weeks old yesterday, I'm hoping they are pullets, since they were factory sexed. But with my luck as its been running, I will have picked out the 10% Roos. LOL

Let me know, I'm in Cedar Hills, but I could meet you somewhere in Salt Lake. Will I need to do anything special with the one with the crooked leg? If so, let me know and I can get special supplies for her. I already have enough chick feed to last for a while, I just re-bought another 50 lb bag, so I think I will be good for a while, and my other chicks only have been on a 100 watt bulb at night, and I feel like I'm roasting them, they all lay way from it as far away as possible, so I have a 250 watt heat light just collecting dust.

Wish this cold spell would clear out. They were outside all last week, and now I'm nervous to put them out in the 50s, since last week it was mid 70s. They are restless in the brooder.

Ngghhh. xD Every time I come on here I get chick fever. So impatient for my chicks to hatch. *keeps telling myself I can get more when I move to Logan in a few years*

Jealous of those eggs, oh my goodness! O_O

blujems, those are beautiful eggs!

Which reminds me, was it Sasha with the amazing swirled egg? That was so cool!

McCoy, I'll know before this chick comes to you if she needs anything special or not. Splayed leg tends to resolve within a day or two. I want these chicks to stay at the school for the next week, but we can maybe meet in Salt Lake on the 11th? I feel pretty good about the marans being a girl, but I haven't attempted to feather sex her. My gut feeling is the gray one is a boy, but I could be totally wrong on that.

Oh, forgot to mention: greybird, I got a gorgeous coronation sussex from River Rock Family Farms. That was a year ago though, not sure what's going on with their farm right now.

Also, if anyone is interested in buying legbar eggs or chicks, let me know.

My names Karen, sillycmoy is just want I log into everything with, but never really thought about it being my screen name. I can meet sometime on Saturday the 11th, I have a dog agility trial in Bluffdale that day, and should be done around 3-4pm. Just depends on how fast everyone runs, and the amount of dogs. I don't mind taking them, and then if they end up Roos, I guess if you know someone who would want them, or if you want them back. I'm really having a hard time accepting that my favorite mystery feathered leg chick is a roo and I've known for at least 2 weeks. But he's going to be a beautiful bird, just wish I could have a roo where I live. I'm hoping that maybe someone on this forum might take at least him in, so that way I know he for sure went to a good home, and maybe get to see photo's of him now and then.

Just let me know either way.

Thanks
Karen
