Utah!

Also, where would be a good place to meet? You have been to my place before so you have a better idea of halfway. How's Ikea as a meeting place?

Ikea works. I'm about 30 minutes from Ikea. I have plenty of room here for another chick, the brooder even with all of them in it only looks 1/4 full, they are so tiny. Brian should be taking his 10 or so home tomorrow or Friday, and I was only planning on keeping 2-3 of the Bantams. I was just keeping them really to see if there was any frizzles.

Right now I'm keeping what I think is a Mille, Frizzle Cochin, and then maybe a Black Cochin, and then the mystery 2 just more so to see what they are feathered out. So the others are going to be sold off. So then I will really only have 6 chicks with my Light Brahma, so it won't be too bad.

If you want a chick or 2 I think they are either Cochins or Brahmas, all have feathered legs, and all are buff or brown chipmunks. The other colors are marked right now with nail polish as Brian's and I think I'm going to keep the other Black one just to see what it looks like.

Just let me know, either way works with me.

I died again. But hi. X)

I'm feeling more confident. Shared some chicken knowledge with some kids at the farm today. Always makes me feel special!

I've got a question though. Is there a way to create artificial humidity? I know during my power outage, putting water bottles in the incubator raised it. I'm going to get a gauge today, but would that help at all? Thanks.

This will be my last hatch this year. But I only have 9 eggs... I'm guessing at this rate at the MOST only a single one will hatch, and it will end up a cockerel. Unless I can raise my mortality rate of 10%-20%.

Sphynx be careful going to kings peak this weekend. The bow hunt starts Friday and there is lots of hunters coming in. We drove the car up the mirror lake hiway today looking for a place to camp, Our Motorhome is so big we have to be careful where we park, especially pulling the trailer with the 4 wheeler on it. I also needed to see if the smoke from the fire was in that area. It isn't. We stopped and talked to a campground host and told us about the bow hunt, Said most of the campgrounds would be full by Thursday. I don't want to be camping where there is hunting going on so we canceled our plans, We wanted to try our our MH before we take our long vacation in Sept to Mt Rushmore, but I don't know of any campgrounds in the mountains that won't have hunters in them, Darn

When Ideal hatchery has the 25 bantam sale next week or later I'm ordering a batch so if anyone is interested, there's no way I keeping them all.

They have the special on for today for the 25 bantams. I got that order last week, and I still have 25 of them sitting here. I got them all vaccinated, so would you rather come buy a few from me at cost. With shipping and vaccination they were $1.58 each. I'm in Utah County. I'm probably only going to keep maybe 3 of them, and there are about 10 that might be going with Brian on Friday. But I will still have plenty that you can choose from. Most of the are either Brahmas or Cochins, that is my best guess.

Sundance, I hope that you can find SOME place to camp soon.

Lilwanis, I think I'm going to be listing a house up here in Syracuse. 1/2 acre, totally cool to have roosters around (grandfathered in, and he has several roosters running around), nice big henhouse, other outbuildings, huge garden area. It'll be around 180k. I'd love you to be up near me.

6kidsfarm, I have french black copper marans eggs. The only caveat is that there's three roosters in the pen, and only one is a fbcm. Having said that, of all the eggs I've hatched since I mingled the flocks, only one has been fathered by a different rooster, and it was the legbar cockerel. That makes for a really cool olive egg layer. Because I can't guarantee they'd be purebred marans, I'd sell the hatching eggs at a discount.
