Lisa I'm really close to Gary, so when let me know when your meeting up with him and the chicks, and I can grab my Hokey Pokey from you. Do you have anymore pictures. I'm dying to see the polka dot chick. Praying for it to be a girl too.
Sundance, I hope that you can find SOME place to camp soon.
Lilwanis, I think I'm going to be listing a house up here in Syracuse. 1/2 acre, totally cool to have roosters around (grandfathered in, and he has several roosters running around), nice big henhouse, other outbuildings, huge garden area. It'll be around 180k. I'd love you to be up near me.
6kidsfarm, I have french black copper marans eggs. The only caveat is that there's three roosters in the pen, and only one is a fbcm. Having said that, of all the eggs I've hatched since I mingled the flocks, only one has been fathered by a different rooster, and it was the legbar cockerel. That makes for a really cool olive egg layer. Because I can't guarantee they'd be purebred marans, I'd sell the hatching eggs at a discount.
WOW, was off for a couple days and came back to tons of posts.Good luck at the fair!
Sphinx, be careful camping!
Desert, where are you? DId you finally give up the work for a day and decide to take a nap![]()
Love these pics!!!Here ya go! They have more spots than the pics show...some on wings and bellies and heads. Pretty cute! They are mostly starting to turn blackish skinned so I think they may end up looking more show girly than Turken-nyStill can't tell if the feathers will be silkied or regular. Funny little critters! Black eyes. The rest are going to Brandi...unless I keep one, I might, trying to talk myself out of keeping chicks but they are just so cute.!![]()
