Good chickie!! I had a BO that charged my little dog that thought it would play with the chicken, the chicken didn't want to play. I actually have some sequence photos..here, let me share. :D Here he is egging her on..yes, egging her on... Come on out, just a little bit more.. No, more than that..come on... Now we're talkin... Come on, I see your face, now what? Come on.. Nooo...not that far!

I wonder if it's a pekin.

Hey Utah chicken owners. Need help getting rid of a rooster. He is an 18 mo okd BO cross. He isNOT aggressive towards people including my 3 year old son. However yesterday he beat the tat out of my older BO roo whom i adore. So he had to go. I don't care if he is dinner as long as he is killed quick and humane. I hate putting him on ksl cause you never know. I figure most people on here care enough to do it right. I live in Heber but could maybe meet up. I just need him gone. Can't put him back in the coop so he is just hanging out I'm the yard.

Yes, the baby duck died.

Not long after the electrolytes..just as I thought, either it would help, or just put him out quickly. He was too close. At least he didn't get stampled on while going. He was nice and warm too.

Hi all! Been working hard today, I got my babies set up in the garage and OUT OF THE HOUSE! no more chickie dust! (Until the weekend....)
Anyway, I was so happy the bunny bottles are working on my kennels. No. More. Shavings. in. the. Water.! Woot

Lisa, doesn't the water bottle drip? I remember using those for Guinea pigs when my son had them..one at a time that is. The bottle would drip after it had been used for a while. But yep..not having shavings in the water tray is a plus!

I have one that I put a feed cup under to catch the drip, it has not dripped too bad yet...the other one no drips at all so far. Hope it stays that way! Worst case the shavings right by the door could be scooped out and replaced if it gets soggy. It's been out there about 6 hours and its ok so far, but even if I have to scoop the little wet spot out a couple times a day I will take it over the shavings in the water lol! That and the poop, = no fun.

True, poopy water, no fun.. what size of blub do you have in that crate? Crate for babies..good idea. :)

Just a 60 watt--they are 4 wks old and so far the garage is staying in the 50's. I have one last batch of babies in my laundry room :p I will put a 125watt on them when I get them out there in the morning.

The crates are nice because I just scrape out the shavings with a dustpan....plus the hanging tray feeder on the door I can raise so that they can't kick it all over.

Oh ya and I can stack 'em! Ha!
