Utah!

I have a beautiful Black Australorp Rooster and a beautiful Araucana Rooster (both hatched in March) that need a new home (together or separate). These are very friendly and not for eating. We are in Kaysville. Contact me if interested otherwise they will be entered in the Davis County Fair and who knows what will happen after winning all the awards lol.

Anybody want some chicks that will start laying eggs early next year? I've got TONS! I have both mix breeds and pure breeds. 2 dollars each! Come on! I started a 5 dollars each! I've been trying to sell them for weeks and only sold 4!!! Please buy some! If you take 5 it'll be 7 dollars!

PM me, or email me!

the only problem is that of the three breeds she wants I only have two

. (OK I have all three but I'm not willing to part with my 2 yr old RIRs, thet're my babies

) I have the BRs and the EEs but she wants RIRs too, if anyone has any young, almost laying to just started laying, RIRs or knows someone who does please let me know. If I can't find them then I will add 2 to my mcmurray order in the spring.

Darn, just sold two the other other night! I was sad to see my girls go but really surprised when I got more eggs than ever the next day. Less chickens, more eggs and none of my EE's are laying yet.

I am not going to be a very good chicken rancher when our favorite girls turn two next spring. There's just no way we can "dispatch" them. They're so sweet and hv provided us eggs and entertainment. We may end up with a small coop for retired ladies... clean, feed and no eggs

i know the feeling. and i will not let them go to another person so they can eat them. i have some very special girls who will be here for life. the way i see it as i pay huge amounts to care for my 4 parrots who do not provide me with anything but entertainment so i can and should do the same for my girls

my little chick is growing fast. i did not know much about her but after seeing the box she came i think she is a buff orp but now her feathers are starting come in and they are white so now i am not sure? any chance she could still be a buff orp?

A yellow chick going white could be several things but probably not a buff orp, at least in what I've seen in mine. You could have a leghorn, delaware, or several other possibilities. She doesn't have puffy cheeks like an EE does she? I have an EE hen that was yellow and turned pure white.

On a sorta sad note lost 3 roos to hawks this morning. The roos have been free ranging...yeah, sorta on purpose knowing that nature could take over - but I have like 7 banty roos and can't do the process thing for a banty, especially the two quail antwerps twerps. Those two are completely MIA but one americana banty roo left a pile of feathers.

We gave the roo's night protection and they have lots of day cover but it finally happened. Takes care of what to do w/them in the winter but darn it all just the same. We are left w/4 now and they are keeping under cover so they must have seen it go on. poor dudes.

i now am hoping that it is a white orp but i do not know how likely that is. i do not even know if i have a female

i guess i will just have to wait and see. sorry for your loss of your roos

even if you know it could still happen it would still be very hard.

[UPDATE -- It looks like they are going to Logan on Saturday. Thanks everyone for the interest.]

We have two handsome young cockerels looking for a good home. An araurcana and a black australorp. Both very friendly. We just can't have them in the city. We live in Kaysville. PM if you are interested.

Wow...and I thought rescue horses come up with weird stuff. (luckily chicken's are cheaper to fix).

I admire you efforts to help them. So many ppl would just cull.
