Utah!

Ahh man! Thats crazy though. Trying to crow at 4 weeks! Maybe my other white silkie could be a girl afterall then. Its nearly 7 weeks and no crowing yet. The comb till looks wider on it but it isent raising so maybe both my whites are girls :) Sorry about your baby turning into a boy, i know how it feels when I had to give up my only splash roo who I was suspecting was a boy. Im sure he'll sill go fast if you put him on ksl, he's beautiful.

Also, who's the bluey fuzzy butt in the background? It that your splash baby?

I know! Nuts, right? I really don't think it's normal to crow so early. I'm also wondering if he's a bit older...closer to 5 or 6 weeks. Still seems awfully early to crow! :) When I heard it I thought something was wrong. It sounded like a strangled chirp. He's only done it twice, but it confirms my suspicions.

The little blue fuzzball is my splash. She's adorable! And the the sweetest thing ever. I'm so glad that Quinn couldn't let her go! I should send you pics sometime. :)

Sorry to bomb in like this but I have a hatching question for you guys. In our dry climate what do you keep the humidity at when incubating? I think I did between 40-50% then up to 85% for lockdown on my first hatch but that was 2 years ago so I'm not sure. 4 out of 13 hatched. Thanks for any help you can give.

I incubate at mid 30's, lock down from 55% to 62%. Works great, unless you are doing water fowl. :) 80% at lock down is probably why you didn't hatch many. Too high for chicks. :)

Ace, that is awesome! 8X8??? That is a LOT of chicken butts that can fit in there. I have not found any in Logan, but the Habitat for Humanity Re-store has/had crazy cheap ones. Along with a lot of other goodies for coops. We bought vinyl windows there last year for $5-$10 and they were huge. It is in SLC.

Thanks! I know, right? Now that I'm building it' I'm not sure it needed to be THAT big...! Here is the progress...

A cache valleyite stopped by and picked up my icelandics. I told him to get on to ask sill about her incubator, and red about some ice eggs. Keep your ears open... :)

You should! I wanna see how your splash is looking :) It appears pretty blue just by seeing the fuzzy butt shot lol, but is it actually looking splash with the flickers of color? Its baby pics definitely looked splash to me, so im surprised she's even turned that blue. I bet she's gorgeous, i cant wait to see more pics :) I sent you and cynthia a few pics lastnight in a message, did you get them?

Oh! Sorry I thought you were from the hatchery in duchesne! I found an ad just like yours on ksl and I thought it was you I was looking at getting a welsummer from.

They are frizzles from Sundance. Her Sizzle Hercules is the daddy

Her white NN is the Mommy of the three lighter ones, (Two are NN and one turned out Un NN). I love them, but fear I have mostly boys in the bunch. The Non-NN looks girly and the blue frizzle, but the others I am not so sure. This Polka dotted NN is my favorite, but has the widest comb and bigger legs of the three. I hope your girly vibes are right, I would LOVE for it to be a she!!

A slight correction. Hercules is a frizzled Easter egger. He came out of a blue egg. Mother was a lavender purebred Americana father was a sizzle, He is throwing some pretty babies
